KUALA LUMPUR - MUSLIMS in Malaysia have been barred from attending a concert by US hip hop band the Black Eyed Peas sponsored by Guinness which is owned by the world's biggest spirits group Diageo.
The move comes after a Malaysian Islamic court sentenced a 32-year Muslim woman to be caned after she was caught drinking beer in a hotel and at a time when an opposition Islamic party has moved against beer sales.

fuh.. betul ka ni? none of our papers wrote about this also...this is a bit extreme, no? we're supposedly 1malaysia and all. how come some people can go, some people cannot la? unless some are of the opinion that no concerts can be held in m'sia at all. hmm.. somethin to think about.
on another note, you read about the chimps walking around with a cow's head in Shah Alam ah? it's a zoo out there. wonder if they'll be ISA-ed in the spirit of 1malaysia. or maybe it's another case of some can, some cannot. hmm...somethin else to think about.
